"An award-winning member of the Match family, Sosho's shape and style
would set it a class apart in any company. A cool, wide corridor leads to
a wide communal area comprising bar counter and glitterballs with a raised area
at the back overlooking the bar for more intimate chat. The (enlarged and newly
refurbished) downstairs lounge is used for private dos and special events. The drinks
menu is the same Dale DeGroff humdinger generic to the Match chain, changing according to the season.
Match's own wines comprise the bulk of a modest list, whilst beers are limited to
bottles of Proof or Pilsen. There are superior bar snacks and dinners too.

Still one of Shoreditch's very great bars, Sosho
has it all. It has world class cocktails,
many of which have been designed by the Match Bar Team themselves; it has a beautiful interior of industrial brink
and smart black leather sofas. It has art installations, good DJs, and a 24 hour licence at weekends. It has a proper food menu for serious eating and it has
a great crowd. It is almost impossible to fault and for a night out in
Old Street
, you really won't find much better. |
