| MIND FLUID |

| The twenty-first-century night out offers every feasible type of entertainment under one roof. Club-bar-eateries appear to triple by the month. Why own just a bar when you can upgrade your licence, apply a lick of retro gloss and open up the kitchens? Lo and behold a bar, club and restaurant all rolled into one. On entering five-month-old Mind Fluid at Sosho you are greeted by a row of diners who line the way into a glitzy bar. A set of decks are centrally stationed next to a staircase that winds down to a more comfortable lounge bar. But if you are there to sample all that the venue has to offer – Mediterranean cuisine and some of the fruitiest cocktails in town – then this uneasy threesome does eventually find its rhythm thanks to the excellent resident DJ, Kevin Beadle. With plenty of turntable experience allied to an extensive jazzy, Latin and Brazilian record collection and a good line in guest DJs (Stuart Patterson this week, with Bob Jones and Ross Allen to come) Mr Beadle effortlessly fills the floor with glamourous party people who just love to jack between courses or Caipirinhas. |
